You Learned How to Survive in Chaos —
You Don’t Have to Anymore
For Adults Who Look “Fine” — But Feel Anything But
You’re capable, dependable, and usually the one holding everything together.
You’re also tired of feeling tense, on edge, or emotionally worn down.
Therapy here helps you stop living in survival mode and start feeling more like yourself.
You grew up around addiction, emotional unpredictability, or chaos
You learned early how to stay calm, responsible, and self-reliant
You feel responsible for other people’s emotions
You struggle to relax or fully let your guard down
You look successful on the outside while feeling overwhelmed inside
These aren’t flaws.
They’re patterns that once kept you safe.
If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place
You may already understand what happened
You’ve thought about it.
You can explain it.
You’ve tried to move forward.
And still, your body reacts like something isn’t settled.
That doesn’t mean you’re doing therapy wrong.
It means some experiences don’t resolve through insight alone.
You don’t need more coping skills.
You need integration.
Most clients come to me after years of talking about their trauma — and still feeling it in their body.
My work goes beyond talk therapy. I integrate:
EMDR
Brainspotting
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
Somatic and nervous system–based approaches
This work is not about reliving the past.
It’s about helping your body release what it’s been holding so you can feel grounded, connected, and calm in the present.
Therapy with me is not about perfection or fixing yourself.
It’s about presence — and learning you were never meant to carry all of this alone.
Current Availability
My schedule for ongoing weekly therapy is currently full.
If you’re looking for short-term, high-impact work, Trauma Healing Intensives are offered on a limited basis.
My next opening is in June and I encourage interested clients to reach out early, as spots fill quickly.
These intensives provide focused, immersive support to help you move through longstanding patterns and trauma—without the structure of weekly therapy.
You may also join the waitlist to be notified when future openings for ongoing therapy become available.
About Kayla Schubert-Wirth, MSW, LCSW
I’m an EMDRIA Certified Therapist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and EMDRIA Approved Trainer based in Bethlehem, PA.
I specialize in helping helpers, high-achievers, and Adult Children of Alcoholics who grew up in chaos and learned to hold everything together finally feel calm in their own bodies again.
My work blends evidence-based trauma therapy with deep nervous system and somatic healing — because real change doesn’t come from insight alone. It happens when your body finally feels safe enough to let go.
I have completed Brainspotting Level 1 and am currently completing Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Level 1, expanding my work with trauma, attachment wounds, and embodiment.
